Acoustic Solutions in Dubai and the UAE
HillPoint's Dubai office sits in Business Bay on Sheikh Zayed Road. It is the base for UAE operations and covers projects across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and the other emirates.
How the UAE market is different
The UAE market is different from Qatar. There is more private sector work, more interior fit-outs for corporate tenants, and a larger architectural community.
Architects and interior designers in Dubai tend to be very specific about finishes and colour coordination, so product conversations are as much about how the panels look as how they perform acoustically. The Acousstop range has enough finish options to handle that.
The kind of work we do in the UAE
Corporate interiors are the biggest segment. Companies fitting out office floors in Business Bay, DIFC, Media City, or Dubai Internet City almost always need some form of acoustic treatment, especially for meeting rooms, open-plan areas, and executive spaces.
Glass and polished concrete look good, but they bounce sound everywhere. That creates echo problems that make conference calls and day-to-day work harder than they need to be.
Education is another major segment. Classroom acoustics matter because a room with a reverberation time above 0.6 seconds makes it harder for students to understand the teacher, and many untreated classrooms are well above that.
Al Nahda School in Abu Dhabi and GEMS World Academy are named education projects in the portfolio. Auditoriums also come up regularly, including UD Auditorium, where speech clarity depends on getting the RT60 right with both wall treatment and ceiling work.
Products and supply
Everything comes from the Coimbatore factory. The wooden panel range, including Niche, Perf, Micro Perf, Diverse, and Grille, works well for the UAE market because veneer and melamine finishes suit local interior standards and humidity conditions.
Fabric-wrapped Comfy panels and the Tract stretch fabric system are popular for corporate spaces where the client wants a softer look.
Acoustic doors are an underrated product in UAE projects. Many meeting room fit-outs put good panels on the walls and then use a standard hollow-core door that leaks sound. The Acousstop acoustic door range has STC ratings for proper isolation, so the Dubai team recommends them more often than clients expect.
HillPoint also holds a pre-qualification approval from Dubai Health Authority for the Al Maktoum Hospital project, one of the formal approvals listed on the Approvals page.
